LUFEST 2008 invites you and your loved ones to our 6th annual Pet Parade. The Pet Parade provides wholesome community fun and entertainment for the entire family.
DATE: Saturday - August 23rd, 2008
LOCATION: TOPS Seward Historic School
PARADE BEGINS: 10:30 a.m.
REGISTRATION: We encourage you to pre-register to participate in this year´s event by completing the registration form provided below. Registration at the event will take place in the North Couryard from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
THE PARADE: The parade will exit the South entrance of TOPS Seward and Rogers Playfield on the Franklin “Green” Street at 11:00 a.m. and will travel through a small section of the beautiful Eastlake Community, ending the parade back in center of the Franklin “Green” Street.
OUR GOLDEN RULE: All pets that have the ability to run amuck must wear a leash while on the LUFEST event property, which includes participation in the LUFEST Pet Parade event.
GIVE AWAY DRAWING: All registered participants will have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate and gift basket from PETCO.
PHOTOS: Each participant and their pet will have an opportunity to be photographed by Sandy Clifton Professional Photography(www.sandyclifton.com). Participants will be able to order 5x7 photographs of themselves with their pet for only five dollars. Proceeds from each photograph purchased will benefit Furrytale Farm (www.furrytalefarm.org) programming which includes, pet rescue, rehabilitation and due to the high number of children who abuse animals after having been exposed to domestic violence, Furrytale Farm focuses their educational programming on teaches children who have been exposed to domestic violence, how to care for animals with love and respect and work with animals in a non-violent manner.
Pet Parade Participants are encouraged to visit our website to view all of the Pet & Owner photos and vote on them according to category i.e. “Most Creative Costume”, “Prettiest Princess”, “Toughest Mug”, etc.
JUST FOR ENTERING:
Participants will receive a certificate honoring the Pet & Owner for their participation and a LUFEST Pet Parade Goodie Bag filled with food samples, treats and toys at the end of the parade.
