LUFEST 2008 – Wild Ducks, Rock-Paper-Scissors and Northwest Music Lineup
Seattle, Washington – LUFEST 2008 [Lake Union SummerFest], the city’s fastest growing festival, is the place to be on Saturday, August 23 from Noon to 10pm, at TOPS Seward School. The festival brings together the neighborhoods surrounding Lake Union (Eastlake, Westlake, Southlake, and Northlake) and welcomes everyone to the heart of the city to celebrate this vibrant and rapidly-growing community.
LUFEST is an all-volunteer, all-ages event. The festival features the best Northwest music, a kickball tournament, pet parade, beer and wine garden, food from neighborhood restaurants, family activities, yoga, local artists and spoken word performers, a business and community showcase, and a Rochambeau tournament!
LUFEST builds social connections in the Lake Union community by producing fun, social events. These include the LakeBall summer kickball league, pub crawls around Lake Union throughout the year and the annual LUFEST music and arts festival. Additional events are being considered.
